What a humdinger of a painting this is. Calm and still, yet full of different textures and interest.
There is a beautiful warm glow in the sky and bridge, soft pinks merging with blues and gold to achieve this wonderful light. There is a glow of light on the snow capped peaks and all to support the delicate snow fall which has recently settled onto the branches of the trees.
There is a still reflection of the tree trunks before the water rushes over some stones creating movement in the foreground.
