The lighting in this painting is quite beautiful, the delicate wet into wet sky with hints of pink and orange reflecting on the snow caps and foreground water creates a warmth which seems to make the whole painting glow.
there is a lovely foreground detail of the rocks covered in snow and the water gently flowing past these, which makes this a very calm painting.

This painting features in Terry's book "Painting Watercolour Snow Scenes"  it is one of the very few snow scene paintings featuring evening light.
