There is the most sumptuous use of colour dropped wet into wet into this barn roof, which contrasts dramatically with the textures of the stone.
The doors are such a deep mossy green that they seem weighty.
Notice the blue rhododendrons and the milk churns adding interest to a section of the composition that could have felt empty, but Terry has a subtle way of adding interest in every corner of his paintings.
