More Snow Forecast 12 x 14 inches Watercolour on Paper
This is one of the few paintings Terry painted which includes falling snow and each snowflake is individually applied. The lovely colour combinations give a wonderful depth, suggesting colder weather on the way, whilst the foreground is brighter with the lovely blue shadows.
What is also interesting about this piece is that on the reverse is a line drawing which Terry had prepared for another painting, which he either discarded, or painted this piece without checking the back first! The drawing shows how few lines and lack of details he needed to paint and how the details were always painted rather than drawn. The drawing is of a sailing boat against a jetty.
