This typically English rural scene, made a wonderful subject for Terry to paint.
There is lots of detail on the barn and winter trees, all of this contrasting with the delicate snow on the roofs and foreground. The lighting is quite beautiful, the delicate wet into wet sky and distant trees create the perfect backdrop for this composition.
