Terry loved painting these type of scenes, he would delight in finding a barn especially if an old cart as in view, and of course he would add a couple of chickens on the verge. This is a looser type of painting which shows Terry's skill at portraying such a complex scene without fiddling with it.

All the elements one could wish for in a painting come together in this one, the colours and textures are so luscious and the more you look at it the more you see.
