Terry loved discovering places like this to paint and this is a lovely example of his use of wet into wet and strong tonal contrasts to create a wonderful painting. This composition is especially attractive with the lobster pots being the foreground subject, but the town in the distance being the real star of the painting.

The techniques used are loose and fresh, resulting in this lively contemporary painting.
