Terry painted a limited number of tropical paintings, although he would be the first to say he loved the light there.
This work shows the bright light shining through the water giving a fabulous turquoise glow to the painting, as the boat bobs on the surface. The sandy beach can be seen in the shallows inviting the viewer to wade out to the boat.
