What to expect from a Residential Workshop

Residential Workshops are a fabulous way to submerge yourself and learn a particular subject and medium.

They have up to 16 people on them, they can be extremely humorous and lots of fun. It can be quite daunting, the very idea of trekking off on your own to join a group of people you have never met and spend a few days with them. I find that with art being the link, people are friendly, eager to learn and immediately find things in common.

Once you have joined me on a Residential Workshop I get to know everyone quite well and we usually keep in touch whether by email of by phone. People return to do more workshops with me as they are always quite different (apart from the jokes)
I adapt my Residential Workshops depending on the group; no one ever feels out of their depth or is left to manage on their own. The focus is on learning with the most important element being to have fun and enjoy it.

The next Residential workshop I am holding is in Staffordshire at Pendrell Hall, its 4 days and is between 30th March - 2nd April 2009. Click below for more information as well as images of what you will paint.
