BIG NEWS from here in Bourton-on-the-Water, on Valentines day I proposed to Fiona on one of the bridges in the village and she accepted, who said romance is dead? We plan to Marry in 2011. Thank you to all of you who have sent us your best wishes, it really is very much appreciated.

The other big news is that we plan to have an 'Open Studio'  here in Bourton-on-the-Water from 12th - 19th September where you can come and see as well as buy original paintings from our books, DVDs, TV paintings and various articles that we have written over the last twelve months. We will also have work in progres on view and we will also be demonstrating. I know some Art societies have allready said that they plan to arrange a mini bus so do join us if you can, there are so many attractions here in Bourton and the Cotswolds that you might like to make a day of it or even indulge yourself with a couple of days break. It should prove to be quite an event! More details nearer the time.


For the first time I have a selection of original paintings from my various books and DVDs available for sale through the site. My original paintings are not available through any Gallery or other outlet.

I have begun my busy schedule for this year. I have done the filming for the DVD to accompany my latest book - Terry's Top Tips for Acrylic Artists and am now in the final stages for my next book which is a sequal to my first book 'Brush with Watercolour' and is to be published later this year.

We are off to Venice again this May on another painting trip. Fiona (my fiancee Fiona Peart) used some of the sketches and photos from our last trip and did a step by step painting in her latest book 'How to Paint Watercolour Washes' .   We are also off to Brugge where the buildings are splendid and will be another inspiration for us both.

I know its a long way off, but I am planning to return to the US, Boone in North Carolina in May 2012! Where I will host a series of workshops for a company called ‘Cheap Joes Art Stuff’ don’t you just love the name? I feel quite at home there.
Last time I was there great fun was had by us all, not just myself, but my students as well, some people here have asked if the Americans got my sense of humour, doubtful, as they don’t even get it in this Country!

Many of my students came from all over the States, which was very flattering. I had a great time and shared a lot of laughs. Boone is situated in the High Country and the place is littered with barns, many of which will appear in my book, did I mention my book? Rustic Buildings and Barns.
