Breaking News... new WORKSHOP dates added due to poular demand.
If you tried to book on a workshop this month but found it was full, scroll down the workshop page to see more added dates and painting subjects. Waiting lists are now also available.
OPEN STUDIO September 2012 will be Wednesday 12th - Sunday 16th
Come and visit Fiona and I when we have our Open Studio event later this year in the beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water here in the Cotswolds. We are open each day between 10.00 - 4.00 and we will be demonstrating throughout each day. You can come and ask us questions, chat to us about painting and buy art materials as well as view over 350 original paintings.
We had a most successful and very busy week when we had our last Open Studio, many of you came on organised coach trips from all over the country. The village has a nice big coach/car park and we are just a short 5 minute walk along the river windrush away from it.

TEACHING IN BOONE NORTH CAROLINA IN USA 2012
More information at the bottom of this page.

At last.....I have made it into the Royal Academy in London!
At least... one of my books has. I went to see the Degas exhibition and was browsing in the shop (as you do) and there it was... my book. Brush with Watercolour 2.

Painting On Location
Painting on location is unpredictable but very enjoyable. I went up to the Lake District in the sunny spell last October and painted at the Ashness bridge. I thought it would be a quiet spot, so I set up my easel and began. Countless groups of walkers came by and a coupel of painters also recognised me and came over to say hello.
I also recently spent a few days in Cornwall collecting some reference for a new Gibsons puzzle which I shall be painting very soon. I had a wonderful day in Mousehole and was lucky enought to see Ken Howard painting at his easel on the harbour beach on the morning I was there. I will be painting with Ken in Greece in May later this year.

Painting Holiday in Cheddar Gorge
I will be teaching from the 16th - 20th July 2012 at Cheddar Gorge. This holiday is not organised by me so you need to follow the link above to the Cheddar gallery for all of the details.

Two New Books and DVDs availalble now.
Ready to Paint Counrty Landscapes is my latest book which has 5 projects in it. I have selected 3 of these paintings to put on the DVD which includes the line layouts to make your painting easier! You can purchase each of these separately or as a book and DVD set which saves you £4 from the SHOP.

What to Paint Watercolour Landscapes book and DVD.
It happens to all of us... we set up our paints, and are sitting in front of a white sheet of paper, but what do we paint? This book provides the answer! 24 full size paintigs to inspire you. Each picture has a line layout as well as a description of how to tackle the tricky bits of the painting. I tell you the colours I used, the brushes and tips so you can get started right away.
All of these paintings are copyright FREE! So you can enjoy copying them with my blessing. You can change them around a bit, you can change the seasons, change the colours or add elements of your own.
This is a great book for those of you that want ideas of WHAT TO PAINT. My latest DVD is a great companion for this book and is also availalble now, its called 'Snow Scenes' I use two summer scenes from the book and show you how to create snow scenes from them. You don't need the book to enjoy this DVD as the line drawings are included free with this DVD.
UNIQUE DVD  availalble only from me. Terry's Top Tips for watercolour artists.
All of my top tips are availalble to watch on two DVDs with over three and a half hours of easy to follow painting demos. Choose from 23 different categories on a menu, and view exactly the tip you need, whether its how to fix a problem or how to create a certain effect. This DVD will be a MUST HAVE for any landscape artist.

NEW WATERCOLOUR PAD
I now have this lovely pad of Bockingford 140lb extra rough paper for sale, there are 15 sheets of artist's quality paper straight from the mill. These pads are too heavy for me to post to you, so I wont sell them via the SHOP but you will be able to get them from me face to face, when I come to your art group, or you do a workshop with me, or if you come and visit my Open Studio later this year. This paper is ideal for all of my techniques and particularly good for creating textures such as the 'credit card rock's.

Watch me paint a thatched cottage from my book (did I mention my new book?) Painting Watercolour Landscapes the easy way.

If you enjoyed Part 1, you'll love Part 2

BOONE NORTH CAROLINA IN USA 2012
I am returning to the US, Boone in North Carolina in May 2012! Where I will host a series of workshops from May 14th - May 18th for a company called
‘Cheap Joes Art Stuff’ don’t you just love the name? I feel quite at home there.
Last time I was there great fun was had by us all, not just myself, but my students as well, some people here have asked if the Americans got my sense of humour, doubtful, as they don’t even get it in this Country!

Many of my students came from all over the States, which was very flattering. I had a great time and shared a lot of laughs. Boone is situated in the High Country and the place is littered with barns, many of which will appear in my book, did I mention my book? Rustic Buildings and Barns.
