Step 1 – load the Sword with Country Olive – not too dry this time. Hold the brush so it points down, and with the blade pointing away from you. Draw the blade over the surface of the paper – the paint will flow out of the edge of the blade, not the point. Step 2 – the leaf effect from the stems is created by keeping the brush pointing in the same direction as when painting the stems themselves, then pulling the brush sideways without twisting the brush. This will allow the paint to flow out of the blade as it is pulled sideways. Step 3 – finish off the grasses by adding some poppies.
