Step 1 – load the brush with Midnight Green. With the brush head vertical, dab the brush onto the paper to create the tree trunk..   Step 2 – using the corner of the brush, dab a few small brush strokes at the top of the tree then swing the brush round so that it is facing the paper. Push the brush firmly into the paper, dabbing and lifting the brush with a zigzag motion from one side of the tree to the other, becoming wider towards the base.   Step 3 – the key to this technique is to push the brush firmly into the paper, so that the end of the brush actually bends. This creates the thickness of the branches. Failure to do this will result in a very spindly looking tree
